In 1958, by the Ministry of Forestry of Maharashtra, was announced as the first wildlife sanctuary in Maharashtra with the name "Dajipur Wildlife Sanctuary". It is now known as "Bison Sanctuary".

It is located in the Holy Sahyadri and from the Central Ranges Holy pass "State Highway 116". This beautiful place is famous for its prey and Radhnagiri Lake. While achieving Dajipur, there is a small temple "Bhagvati Devi" are very famous. The peaceful atmosphere of the temple and look more attractive as the sun sets. In the middle of a dense forest, there is the famous spiritual destiny "Gagangiri Maharaj Math," which is the best place for yoga and meditation.
From the clock tower, you can enjoy the beauty of the Konkan and the forest in General. It is located in the Holy area around 350 sq.km and Kankavali it is 30 kilometers away.

Holy also includes a very useful medical plant as the plant sweet corn is known as "Vagati" dhayati (bush fires), karvand, kadipatta Curry tree known as murudsheng, and much more. "Bamboo" is also found in small numbers along with a good number of ephemeral plant seasonal lights.
Fauna
Holy consisting of more than 40 species of mammals like leopards India, wild boar, deer, bear, wild Bulldog etc., approximately. 250 species of birds and butterflies. Birds such as Eagles, quail, Dove, piper, Vulture, owl, Nightingale, sunbirds, bills, warblers were subject to often look at this holy place.
With "Birdlife International" sanctuary has been announced as an "important Bird Area".
